Senior project scientist
The main experience of Mike Schwank is passive microwave remote sensing in application to the state of terrestrial land-surfaces (soil-moisture, vegetation, and snow). His research involves practical and theoretical aspects of microwave radiometry, such as radiative transfer modeling, and planning, executing, and analyzing ground based radiometer campaigns. In addition to his research at Gamma Remote Sensing Research and Consulting Ltd. he is also with the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL), Birmensdorf, Switzerland.
